UPDATE:

The mount and adapter (called R0Ck/S4LT) debuted at GOALS, so these are off the table for SA as they are for sale on the site.

Tr1nity: The flash-hider variant of the S4LT is in play. There is one (1) available in 556-1/2x28 ($50), and it only runs in a can if you use our R0Ck adapter. Free shipping ($15 off) if you order a R0Ck too. We want a review and video/images of it running naked in low light of you can do it.

There are a million suppressor mounting systems out there. Big names in the QD adapter/ mount space such as Keymo and Rearden have produced hundreds of thousands of these devices. many companies offer generics that are compatible, so it seems like a fools errand.

However.

What there aren't are a lot of Neilsen boosters. If you dont know what a booster is, they are basically black-magic that let your Browning action pistol (basically any semiauto handgun) function.

The Neilsen boosters sold by companies such as Griffin and YHM come in four basic pieces:

The end cap

The body or "cage"

the spring

the piston (two shown)

Thats pretty handy, because you can use the same booster across seeveral cans. All you need is a barrel-compatible piston. Not only that, pistons have their own spec now, called "BPISTIN," an acronym which stands for:
Booster Piston, Industry Standard Ten Index Notch. This is handy, because this means that your piston (the part that screws to the barrel) will work across a variety of booster manufactuers.

We set out to develop a HUB-compatible booster a while back because they are in demand and the modularity possible made it an easier risk. One thing that we wanted to make sure happened was that you could move the suppresor (with booster) from a pistol to a PCC with minimal hassle. Q-Rearden does this too: The OD threads on the mount (the muzzle device) match the ID threads on the booster body.

This project comes in several pieces:

1) The fixed QD taper adapters, S4LT (brake) and Tr1nity (flash hider). We will need to source stainless precursors, develop fixturing (this is already done for 5/8x24) and turn the OD and threads on the NC lathe. The fit of the taper is absolutely critical to ensure proper axial alignment of the suppressor. S4LT and Tr1nity are the two in the middle (below).

2) The standalone adapter (needs a name) to connect S4LT to a can on your rifle or PCC (its on the far right in the 1st photo and in blue in the 2nd

3) The shorty S4LT (far left and in green) is the key to the whole thing. It can move between a fixed system and a booster-equipped pistol can.

This mounting system essentially a fatter Rearden: They have .900" x 24 threads and a 25° taper to a body that measures .800"

We tried that and didnt like the performance from the mount when it was naked.

It was prom all over again.

Volume is what makes most muzzle devices--flash-hiders, comps and cans--work and we wanted more. Accordingly, we went from a 1.050" x 24 thread to a 25° taper to a .900" body.

Using DMLS to form the precursor means that we can do a lot of geometrical magic to improve the perfomance of the un-covered device, so its not just there to hold your can. Yes, it means yet another mounting system, but we think that ours is chonky and cool. We hope that you agree.

Progress:

Theres one slightly modified S4LT on the way to fit my boojie 300 AAC. We'll turn the profile on it and then move immediately to the fixed adapter, which requires a little bit more prep as its threaded ID and out and has the ever-critical mating taper.
